The game will run at 60 FPS on both PS4 Pro and standard PS4, but resolution will be different. The PS4 version will run at native 1600 x 900, while the game will run at native 1080p (1920x1080) on PS4 Pro. 4K resolution won't be supported on PS4 platfo

 

Soon we'll be able to play the demo of the game ourselves. It will be released for PS4 on December 22nd , while the game will release in North America on March 7th, 2017, while Europe will get it on March 1

 

Final Fantasy XV truly feels like a labor of love by an extremely dedicated development team, that spared no effort to deliver the best experience possible. We really can't wait to see the results on November 2

In a tight, closed space, sounds don’t echo very much. In a wide open room like the one above, though, echoes last longer. Echoes also change depending on the materials that make up an area: They’re louder when you’re surrounded by metal than when you’re surrounded by dirt, for example. Each area you explore in a game needs its own reverb settings to get these echoes just right.

I made this concept art of an abandoned city by painting over a screenshot of the area as it looked in the unfinished game. Environmental concept art like this serves as a solid guideline for the team that makes all the environmental models. I originally painted this cityscape with much darker colors – though the weather was always pretty nice! In the end, I decided that it didn’t match the overall feeling of NieR Automata News|Https://Nierautomatafans.Com/: Automata very well, so I brightened it up to what you see here.

As producer Yosuke Saito explains, the first step in the production of the sequel was all about making amends for the missteps of the first title. As it turns out, the harsh reaction from critics about the original game's lacklustre action sequences is exactly what led Saito to team up with Platinum Games this time around, a studio which had previously worked on Bayonetta and Metal Gear Solid: Revengeance . As we played a short period of the game in the boots of the android 2B, the studio's action experience was immediately apparent: combat felt very fluid, and it was easy to hack and slash with 2B's sword as she jumped and dashed across a battlefield of tin-can looking robotic enem

The difference appears to be less visible during cutscenes, where developers probably managed to squeeze a little more juice out of the standard PS4 due to the controlled rendering environment, bur it's still quite noticeable in elements like YoRHa 2B's hair.

 

After that, more gameplay was showcased at the 00:28:20 mark, introducing some of the RPG element of the game, including the refugee camp that will serve as one of the settlements and a weapon shop, that incidentally sold weapons from the Drakengard series. NieR: Automata 's demo is finally running on our PS4 consoles, giving everyone a taste of PlatinumGames' signature action in a JRPG flavor. Not only it looks lovely and plays even better, it also comes with at least part of its promised PS4 Pro support.

 

During a livestream hosted by the Japanese magazine Dengeki PlayStation, Square Enix Producer Yosuke Saito and PlatinumGames Producer Eijiro Nishimura showcased the how NieR: Automata will support PS4

The images captured on PS4 show some very visible jaggies basically across the whole picture, while the PS4 Pro version is much smoother. This appears to indicate a superior anti-aliasing solution on top of the difference in resolution. To help you see the difference (even if I doubt that this is really needed) you can check out a zoomed area on both platforms below, with massive jaggies on standard PS4 and much smoother edges on PS4 Pro.

In order to see the difference, we captured a few screenshots of the same situations within the demo both on a PS4 Pro and on a standard PS4 console, matching camera angles as well as possible and saving the shots in lossless PNG to achieve the best possible comparison.

 

Because it's an action RPG genre, there is a main story, but we do have side quests as well. While we do call them side quests, some of them actually have chapters within themselves as well. Some of them are actually really difficult. If you want to really complete everything, it might take from 25-30 hours of gameplay, and you might need to upgrade all your weapons and whatnot to complete the quests as well, so it may take longer than t

 

Which is why this award is dedicated to the memory of the Wii U, a console with some really good ideas sent to die on the line of duty, because (among other reasons) Nintendo thought that it didn't need the support of third parties to succeed.
