As you make your way through Chapter 1 of Black Myth: Wukong , you’ll come face-to-face with the Whiteclad Noble, a half-serpent, half-human creature wearing a white robe. Even though he is not listed as a Yaoguai King or Chief, the Whiteclad Noble is considered one of the hardest bosses to face in the early game.

The fight itself is relatively easy. The main strategy for defeating the Gore-Eye Daoist revolves around the Destined One staying close to the boss and repeatedly hitting it . As soon as the boss starts to dance or sing, get away from it so you can avoid getting hit by the blood shockwave attacks.

If you Immobilize him at the right moment, you can stagger Whiteclad Noble and hit him repeatedly till you can charge a Heavy Attack to drain his health. With the right timing and quick reflexes, you can dodge most of his attacks and turn the tide of the battle.

Giving this boss some space can make this fight unnecessarily difficult. Its ranged attacks are difficult to avoid , **** and prolonging the fight is also not recommended due to the blood on the ground causing poison build-up.

Meanwhile, his best close-up attack is his Ground Slam, and it doesn't hit far behind him. When you are attacking the Stone Vanguard's rear, you will only have to worry about its slow backhand attack, which is easily dodged, and its vertical leap attack, which can be tough to deal with at first, until you realize that dodging away from it will give you enough distance to avoid taking damage.

The moment the Stone Vanguard starts knocking on the ground, you know this is coming, but that won't help you much, as there is no distance where you are safe. You are simply going to have to dodge each golem as they leap at you, and then the Stone Vanguard itself at the end.

There are also a total of three Lesser Rats in the area. Two of them can be defeated before the fight begins. The third Lesser Rat is difficult to find, and it may randomly start attacking you during your fight with the Gore-Eye Daoist. If you’re caught getting attacked by the third Lesser Rat during the fight, focus on killing it first as it doesn’t have a lot of HP.

As you enter its range for the first time, Gore-Eye Doaist will unleash a war cry and smack his mace on the ground after a short delay. This smack on the ground will release a shockwave of blood , while also splattering the blood on the ground. The boss may also use this attack later on in the fight.

From the Windseal Gate Shrine, you have to go left, until you encounter a Lesser Rat . Defeat it and progress ahead. You will encounter the Gore-Eye Daoist shortly, standing in front of a Luojia Fragrant Vine Tree .

Since Whiteclad Noble has quick movements, you’ll need to rely on the Immobilize control spell, which freezes him in place and gives you an opening to get a few attacks in. As such, invest as many Sparks as you can into the Immobilize spell. Consider investing points in the Stagnation Mysticism, as it can extend the duration of your immobilizing spell and give you more time to attack the Whiteclad Noble.

This is an enhanced version of the Blood Darts attack. Towards the end of this move, the boss will smack his staff on the ground, unleashing a huge shockwave of blood in a large AOE . This attack will clear most of the blood that’s splattered on the ground.

Pay attention to the Whiteclad Noble’s dialogues after you defeat him, as he’ll hint at three bells in the Black myth Wukong yellow loong Wind Mountains , which you can ring if you want to find a secret boss and progress in Black Myth: Wukong .

The problem is, Whiteclad Noble rapidly moves around the arena and can strike from any direction. To counter this, you need to stay alert and be prepared to dodge attacks at a moment's notice. Keep a close eye on his quick movements to anticipate where he will strike next. He might even use his spear to launch himself at you, either by sticking it into the ground and swinging off it or by simply swinging it towards you, so be on guard.

In general, it is better to be close to the Stone Vanguard, than at a distance. Its close-range attacks are all telegraphed, and it is easy enough to side-step them and keep pressing with your own offense.
